About CARE 2026

The Mehta Family School of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering, IIT Indore, in collaboration with the Mehta Family Foundation, is proud to host the 6th CARE Conference at the intersection of Bioengineering & Biotechnology, themed "Precision Healthcare: From Molecules to Medical Devices."

The CARE (Collaborative for Academic and Research Excellence Conference serves as a global platform to advance research in emerging and frontier areas of AI, bringing together academia, industry, policymakers, and funding agencies to catalyze long-term, high-impact collaborations across institutions such as IITs, IISERs, IISc, and global partners. Through expert talks, panel discussions, and a dedicated research showcase featuring poster presentations and flash talks by PhD students and postdocs, the conference offers a platform to share the latest research findings, innovations, and methodologies while gaining valuable expert insights.

Beyond knowledge exchange, the event is designed to enable mentoring, networking, and career development, and to expose students and young faculty to interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research approaches that drive impactful, real-world outcomes.

About Mehta Family Foundation

The Mehta Family Foundation (MFF), one of the largest philanthropic collaborators in higher education in India, has been a visionary and catalyst in introducing areas with transformative potential to the Indian higher education ecosystem.

What began in 2006 with a single School of Biosciences at IIT Madras has grown into a national initiative. The Mehta Family Foundation partners with premier Indian institutions to build intellectual capacity by accelerating breakthroughs in education and research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Biosciences, Sustainability, and emerging technologies.

MFF has previously co-hosted five conferences in Biosciences & Biotechnology and one in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence.

About the Mehta Family School of BSBE

The Mehta Family School of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering (MFSBSBE) at IIT Indore is an interdisciplinary academic and research unit working at the interface of biology, medicine, engineering, and data science. The School aims to develop future-ready scientists and engineers and translate advances in biosciences and biomedical engineering into meaningful clinical and industrial solutions. Its academic portfolio includes B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering and Data Science, M.Sc. in Biotechnology, M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering, M.Tech. in Biomedical Devices, and Ph.D. programs. Research at the School encompasses molecular and cell biology, immunology, computational biology, drug discovery, biomedical devices, AI-enabled healthcare, digital health, medical imaging, diagnostics, biomaterials, neuro-robotics, neurobiology, neural engineering, and translational biomedical research. With expanding laboratory infrastructure, multidisciplinary expertise, and collaborations with leading academic, clinical, and industrial organizations, the School is building a strong ecosystem for innovation in precision healthcare.
